The first attack happened at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, authorities said previously.

A woman was stopped at a light on the 1600 block of South 55th Street when the attacker walked up to her car, pulled out a gun, and robbed her, according to police.

Authorities said he then forced the victim to drive to 49th and St. Bernard streets where he sexually assaulted her.

He robbed her again then fled the car on foot, they said.

The second attack happened around 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, police continued. The victim was approached by an armed man while she was walking near Springfield Avenue and South Paxon Street, they said.

He demanded money then forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the area on foot, officials wrote.

The suspect is said to be between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot in his 20s or 30s with a thin build. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a blue surgical mask in both assaults, according to investigators.
